FROM YOU

• Account information (email address, password if you set one, username)
• Profile information (display name, bio, avatar, location for DJ profiles)
• Content you create (album reviews, ratings, vibes, comments, mixes you upload or link)
• DJ booking details (event date, location, type, budget, special requests)
• Stripe Connect onboarding information for DJs (handled by Stripe; we never see your bank or tax details)

• Usage data (pages visited, features used, ratings submitted, listening history)
• Device information (browser type, operating system, screen size)
• Log data (IP address, access times, referring URLs)

FROM THIRD PARTIES

• Music metadata from Spotify, Deezer, and Billboard (album info, audio previews, track waveforms)
• News article content from publishers we aggregate (Pitchfork, Stereogum, FADER, NME, and others)
• Stripe payment and Connect account status

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Generate your Taste Profile profile and music recommendations
• Connect bookers with DJs and process booking payments
• Send service-related notifications (sign-in codes, booking updates, payout confirmations)
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Improve and develop new features

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with:

• Other users. Your public profile, reviews, ratings, Taste Profile, DJ profile (if any), and posted comments are visible to other users.
• Bookers and DJs. When you create or accept a booking, the other party sees your contact information and event details.
• Service providers. Stripe (payments and DJ payouts), Cloudflare (hosting and edge compute), Neon (PostgreSQL database), Spotify and Deezer (music data), AWS SES (transactional email).
• Legal requirements. When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

• Database hosted on Neon PostgreSQL with encryption at rest
• Album catalog hosted on Cloudflare D1
• Hosting on Cloudflare Workers; static assets on Cloudflare R2
• Passwords hashed with bcrypt; we never store plaintext passwords
• Payment processing handled entirely by Stripe (PCI DSS compliant)
• All data transmitted over HTTPS

Your ratings, reviews, listening signals, and other interactions feed into the Taste Profile engine. This generates a 50-dimension cognitive taste fingerprint, recommended albums, and roundup topic clusters. Some of this processing uses AI models running on Cloudflare Workers AI. Your raw data is never sent to OpenAI or other external AI providers.

You can reset or delete your Taste Profile at any time from your profile settings.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data (reviews, ratings, profile, bookings)
• Opt out of non-essential communications

To exercise these rights, contact us at team@polarity-lab.com. Note that some content (reviews quoted in replies, public booking reviews, mixes referenced by other users) may persist after account deletion where removal would damage the integrity of the Service.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Aggregate analytics are collected to improve the Service.

WAXFEED is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
